Parts of the Screen
Overview of BlocksCAD UI
This view shows the various parts of the BlocksCAD Page. The page is divided into three groups. These include menus, Blockscad project workspace, and a rendering area.
- Upper Menu Bar - Open and save projects, set options, view help files and examples.
- Lower Menu Bar - Set project name, undo & redo buttons, clear blocks workspace and view OpenSCAD code.
- Blocks Project Area - Selected blocks are arranged and connected in this workspace.
- Blocks Selection Bar - Blocks are selected and moved into the workspace.
- Render Area - Rendered blocks can be viewed in 3D and be exported in various file types that include STL (STereoLithography), X3D, OBJ, or AMF. The window for the render area is resizeable.
- Blocks Project Area Controls - In the lower right corner are the zoom and centering controls for the project area.
Upper Menu Bar
This view shows the available controls for opening & saving files, setting options and accessing help. The upper menu bar is covered in detail under the User Interface/Menus dropdown.
Lower Menu Bar
This view shows the available controls for the BlocksCAD project workspace.
Render Controls
This view shows the available controls & buttons for the render window. Grabbing the window border by the corner just below the 'Render' button will allow the render area to be resized on the page.
